Delete Account

Important: Read Before Proceeding

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data, including your profile, photos, messages, bookings, subscriptions, wallet balance, and all associated content. This process may take a few moments to complete.

What Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Profile information: Display name, bio, interests, preferences, photos, and location data
  • Authentication data: Keycloak account, session tokens, and login history
  • User-generated content: All posts, comments, tags, and media files you have uploaded
  • Matches and interactions: All match records, likes, messages, and social connections
  • Experiences and bookings: Events you created or booked, tickets, and attendance records
  • Subscriptions: Active subscriptions will be cancelled immediately. No refunds will be issued for the current billing period
  • Wallet balance: Any remaining WinkCoins will be forfeited
  • Creator data: Creator profile, subscriber records, and content (if applicable)
  • Promoter data: Promoter application, referral codes, and tracking data (if applicable)
  • KYC records: Identity verification records (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Newsletter subscriptions: Your email and phone number will be removed from all mailing lists

What May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained after account deletion as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

  • Transaction records: Payment and subscription records are retained for a minimum of 7 years for tax and audit compliance
  • KYC records: Identity verification records may be retained as required by anti-money laundering (AML) regulations
  • Legal obligations: Data required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements
  • Anonymized data: Aggregated and anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked back to you

How to Delete Your Account

You have two options for deleting your account:

Option 1: Through the Web App

  1. Log in to your WinkSocial account
  2. Navigate to this page while logged in
  3. Confirm your identity by entering your password
  4. Provide an optional reason for deletion (helps us improve)
  5. Confirm the deletion

Option 2: Through the Mobile App

  1. Open the WinkSocial app
  2. Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm

Option 3: Contact Support

If you are unable to delete your account through the app or website, you can request deletion by emailing us at privacy@joinwink.app. We will process your request within 30 days.

Your Right to Erasure

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"). This page provides a self-service mechanism to exercise that right. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
